This jewerly box is pretty as other reviewers have mentioned. However, I believe it is misleading to advertise that it is a wooden jewelry box. I was expecting something much more sturdy. I appears to be made out of a very high quality cardboard type of product. After 3 days of very gentle use, the lid would no longer close completely. It appeared the the hinges were unable to support the weight of the lid (which was not a whole lot). We ended up returning it and purchasing the Small Abigail Jewelry Box from Pottery Barn Kids. The return was suprisingly easy though – Thank you Amazon.

I bought this as a gift for my 4 year old niece and she loves it. My 3 year old daughter is also fascinated by it. It’s made of laminated cardboard so it’s perfect for a young girl.
