Have you ever noticed that most ballerinas and ballet dancers almost always never wear that much makeup and jewelry/ accesories?
Or is it just my personal opinion ?
Isn’t it rather interesting that the more yoga/ballet you do, the less makeup /jewelry you seem to need or want?

ballerinas are beautiful naturally,they express through their dance so they don’t need makeup/jewelery

Make up and jewelry are A. Hazards, and B. Pointless for a ballerina.
I would think that they would wear light make-up during performances.

sheer cover makeup, ballet is an art form in which they tell a story with their bodies why would they need jewelry for that?

i used to dance ballet and we do wear make up.actually there are times that we wear very thick make up called stage make up. but from the audience it would look natural. and we don’t wear jewelry because it can be very distracting while dancing..
but the important thing in dancing is not how good you look but rather how good you dance..

Some dancers actually do wear makeup – I sometimes do but not all the time. I think it is just sort of personal opinion. However, when you dance you want the focus to be on your body and your dancing, not your face. About jewlery: we actually are allowed to wear earrings at my dance school but not bracelets and necklaces (they are hazardous). Some dance schools do not even allow earrings because they like the dancers to look the same.
idk…i wear a LOT of makeup during performances…its our stagemakeup…but yeah. during the day and stuff i generally couldnt care less about makeup or jewelry…so its not just you! haha. I hope this helped!

we’re not even supposed to wear jewelry at our studio otherwise you cant perform.
My dance teacher knew a girl who was wearing earrings a few years ago and during a costume change it ripped off part of her ear.
